While building the online web page editor for the Cartooga™ shopping cart, we wanted to have a little thumbnail of the page you were editing off in the corner that updated whenever you saved it, so you could see the result of your work without having to open another browser window. So we developed our own imaging component that would go out and fetch the page and save a picture of what it would look like fully rendered. Such a simple thing, but so many uses...
Maybe you're a web designer who wants to show off your work, or want to show a screenshot in an e-mail when you're telling someone about a website. Whatever your reasons are, our website thumbnail tool does the work for you without any Javascript required. If you ever wanted to show a screenshot of a website, you either had to purchase software that would do it for you or hit your computer's Print Screen button and copy/paste into a graphics program to save the image. And then do it again every time the site changed. With our service, the images are automatically updated when they're requested so no image will ever be more than 72 hours old. Like these:
Our images are called with a regular IMG HREF tag, not Javascript, so you can use our service within an application or database too. No registration is required. Currently there are thumbnails in the database.
